She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2013.
Amber is interested in working with all individuals experiencing a variety of martial, family and individual issues including but not limited to social and relationship concerns, and adjustment to major life transitions. She counsels using elements of Psychoanalytic and Narrative Therapy perspectives and believes that past events and experiences shape a person in the present and the future. To accomplish this, she uses the Narrative Therapy method by guiding clients to externalize their problems and create new narratives of their personal stories.
Amber believes in helping the client rely on their own skills to attempt to lessen problems that arise in their lives as well. She also believes the client is the expert in their life and it is important to create a non-judgmental, and respectful environment for them to discuss their issues.
