Workshop 1: Basics to Somatic Experiencing (In-Person)
Write up: Somatic Experiencing® International is offering an in-person training on the Basic Principles of Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) in New Orleans. This experience is designed to help participants:
- Understand how the nervous system responds to trauma
- Support clients in regulation and safety
- Begin integrating somatic approaches into your clinical work
You’ll also experience a live demonstration and have the opportunity to learn directly from SE practitioners during an afternoon panel.

We are excited to share that Ilsa Araki, M.A., LPC-S, SEP, BASE-P, CFRC, NCC, Clinical Director and Owner of Northshore Family Counseling, will be presenting at the Mississippi Counseling Association Annual Conference on July 8, 2026, in Biloxi, Mississippi!
As a featured speaker for "The Power of Us: Advocacy and Ethics for the Profession and the Practitioner," Ilsa will join other respected leaders in the counseling profession to explore the importance of clinician wellness, ethical practice, advocacy, and sustainable care.
