Internal Family Systems (IFS™)
therapy is a non-pathologizing approach to therapy, and can support individuals in decreasing anxiety, improving relationships, or recovering from PTSD or trauma. IFS™ emphasizes the natural multiplicity of the mind, and brings the whole system together which allows individuals to become more Self-led. The natural result of this healing is a reduction in problematic/symptomatic behavior. The initial goal is to support individuals in identifying and connecting with parts of themself that have worked in protector roles from triggers, or perceived harm. After, individuals can connect with hurt parts and engage in inner healing. The ultimate goal of IFS is to increase an individual’s access to their core Self so that they can be more Self-led.
