Lauren McDougal, PLPC
Lauren is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor . She holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Holy Cross. Lauren is trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and is currently a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Lauren has experience working with adults with various mental health concerns in individual and group settings. She has experience with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, grief and loss, anger, and challenging life transitions, and is trained in CCTP-1.
Lauren uses an integrated and holistic approach to counseling through focusing on the connection between the mind and the body. She sees the counseling relationship as a unique place of acceptance and compassion that facilitates reaching individualized goals and personal growth. She is passionate about working with clients and empowering her clients through finding meaning in life’s challenges.
