Timothy Roberts, M.S., PLPC, GC-C

Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor | Grief Certified Counselor

Who I Work With

I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples navigating a variety of life challenges, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and everyday stressors. While I enjoy supporting clients across a broad range of concerns, I have a particular passion for helping individuals process grief, navigate significant losses, and find meaning in the midst of difficult life experiences.

How I Work

My counseling style is grounded in curiosity, empathy, authenticity, and respect for each client's unique story. I believe that no two individuals experience life's challenges in the same way, which is why I take an individualized approach that honors your personal experiences, values, beliefs, and goals.

I integrate existential perspectives with evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Person-Centered Therapy (PCT)
  • Existential Informed Approaches
  • Grief and Loss Counseling

Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing while identifying opportunities for growth, resilience, and deeper self-understanding. My goal is to help clients develop practical tools while also discovering greater meaning, authenticity, and connection in their lives.

My Philosophy

I believe that counseling is most effective when clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. Life's challenges can leave us feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves and others, but I believe these experiences can also become opportunities for reflection, healing, and growth.

My role is not to tell you who to become, but to walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, clarify what matters most, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals. Through compassion, collaboration, and honest conversation, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where meaningful change feels possible.

A Bit About Me

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I also enjoy gaming, exploring a good anime series, spending time outdoors, traveling, and pursuing opportunities for continued learning and personal growth.

Closing

It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, celebrate growth, and move toward greater healing and purpose. If you are looking for a therapist who will offer compassion, curiosity, and a personalized approach to care, I would be honored to support you in your journey.
