Sophie Wendt, M.Ed., PLPC
Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor
Who I Work With
I work with adults and adolescents navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life changes, athletic and sports-related challenges, family issues, and relationship concerns. My goal is to create a welcoming, safe space where clients can openly share their experiences and begin to build the change they want to see in their lives.
How I Work
I use an integrative, client-centered approach that honors the complexity of each person’s lived experience. My goal is to create a collaborative therapeutic space where you feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow at your own pace. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including:
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Feminist Therapy
Together, we’ll work to explore your story, process challenges, and move toward healing in a way that supports your unique goals and values.
My Philosophy
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, inclusive, and empowering. My goal is to create a comforting environment where you feel truly heard and respected, regardless of the identities you hold or the challenges you face. I welcome all individuals into my practice with genuine care and the commitment to walk alongside you on your path toward greater self-understanding and well-being.

A Bit About Me
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, running, baking, and spending time with my dog, Bruce. These activities help me recharge and stay grounded, allowing me to bring my best self to work with clients.
Closing
If you’re looking for a counselor who will meet you with warmth, collaboration, and respect for your unique story, I would be honored to work with you as you navigate your journey toward healing and growth.
