Shannon has spent over 20 years serving in various church ministry settings, working with children, teenagers, adults, and families. Her expertise in faith matters and counseling gives her a unique perspective for understanding the connection between spiritual and emotional health.

Shannon is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with depression, anxiety, trauma, gender and sexuality issues, relationship issues, foster/adoption issues and PTSD. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She enjoys working with individuals (ages 12 and up), couples, and families. Her personal experience of being a foster and adoptive parent serves as an asset when working with foster and adoptive families.

Shannon counsels from a biblical worldview and seeks to establish a trusting relationship with the client to bring about desired change. Shannon sees counseling as a collaborative effort in which the counselor and client work together in a safe and accepting environment, to process events, learn new coping skills, and make cognitive and behavioral changes that lead to greater well-being, growth, and healing.
