Mechelle Pollard, PLPC
Mechelle is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in February of 2021. Mechelle is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and is also a National Certified Counselor.
Mechelle has experience working with young women who are survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual abuse, providing Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as a means for facing these challenges. She has been instrumental in helping those who struggle with depression, anger, grief and loss, and codependency. She enjoys working with young women who are looking for their unique place in the world. Mechelle foremost counsels from a Reality/Choice theory approach combined with a biblical worldview.
She has further invested in continuing to work with young women and to also begin work with young men, offering to be a beacon of light as they become the best version of themselves. She empowers her clients by letting them lead in their counseling and by gently guiding them to their own revealed truths, helping them become the best version of themselves.
