Lauren Thibault MEd, PLPC
Lauren is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. She has earned a Master of Counselor Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Orleans. Lauren has completed training as a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP-I). Lauren is currently a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA).
Lauren works with kids, teens, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. Her specific areas of clinical interest include working with those who have experienced abuse or neglect in childhood, complex trauma, depression, attachment ruptures, and relational difficulties as adults. Lauren is passionate about psychoeducation and empowering clients to return to their most authentic selves by healing shame and realigning their lives in conjunction with their core values.
Lauren’s counseling style focuses on the client’s holistic value as a person, with a unique set of life experiences that shape who they are today. Lauren believes the most important part of the counseling relationship is establishing a safe and authentic connection in order to explore the more complex layers of therapeutic healing. Lauren regularly checks-in with clients’ comfort levels when processing challenging topics and encourages client collaboration throughout every step of the therapeutic relationship.
