Kayla Petone, M.S., PLMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Who I Work With
I work with children, adolescents, and their families navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, anger issues, self-esteem concerns, adjustment difficulties, and family issues such as coping with divorced parents. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where young people and their families can explore their experiences, strengthen connections, and develop healthier patterns together.
How I Work
I approach therapy from a systems perspective, recognizing that meaningful change often involves understanding the broader context of each client’s life, including family dynamics, environment, and relationships. My style is warm, empathetic, and highly personalized to meet the unique needs of each child, adolescent, and family I serve. I incorporate a variety of approaches, including:
- Systems Theory
- Feedback-Informed Treatment
- Strengths-Based and Relational Techniques
My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to create lasting change.
My Philosophy
I believe that effective therapy is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in trust. My goal is to partner with you and your family to uncover strengths, improve communication, and address the issues that matter most to you. I am dedicated to helping families navigate challenges together, fostering resilience and connection along the way.

A Bit About Me
For fun, I love reading mystery books! It’s one of my favorite ways to relax and stay curious outside of my work with clients.
