Fred Selby, LPC-S, D.Div., M.Div., M.A.

Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor | Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor

Who I Work With

I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges related to grief, anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties. My goal is to provide a safe and respectful space where clients can explore their concerns and collaborate on meaningful solutions.

How I Work

I counsel from an ecosystemic perspective, recognizing that clients’ immediate family relationships and broader social contexts are vital resources for solving life’s problems. My primary approach is structural and strategic, helping couples and families reorganize their relationships to better address the challenges they face. Therapy goals are always established collaboratively, ensuring that the issues most important to you are addressed effectively and with care.

My Philosophy

I believe effective therapy is a collaborative process rooted in respect, clarity, and shared goals. By acknowledging the interconnectedness of family systems and social environments, I aim to help clients mobilize their own resources and strengths. My mission is to walk alongside you as you work toward resolving the concerns that matter most to you, fostering healthier relationships and improved well-being.

A Bit About Me

Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in spending quality time with my wife and our two dogs, whether we’re enjoying quiet moments at home or exploring the outdoors. I’m also deeply involved in my faith community, where I have the honor of preaching on topics close to my heart, especially those surrounding grief, healing, and mental health. These experiences continue to fuel my passion for walking alongside others as they seek hope, purpose, and restoration.

Closing

If you’re looking for a counselor who values collaboration, respects the complexity of family and social dynamics, and offers experienced guidance for working through life’s challenges, I would be honored to work with you.
