Kathryn Hursey, M.S., LPC, NCC.
Kathryn Hursey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National
Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds a Master of Science degree
in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Couple, and Family
Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Kathryn’s focus is with adolescent and adult individuals experiencing life
transitions, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD, addiction
and learning to manage other mental illnesses. Kathryn’s experience has
been with individuals with acute to chronic mental health diagnosis and
individuals with substance abuse issues.
Kathryn focuses on strength-based and emotional-regulation approaches
including but not limited to CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, DBT, play therapy,
and Strength-Based therapy. Kathryn believes in the importance of the
therapeutic relationship between herself and the client. Kathryn is
committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment
for clients to explore their challenges and strengths.
