Chimela Soublet, M.A., LPC-S, NCC

Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor | National Certified Counselor

Who I Work With

I am passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, and couples navigate a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, as well as career and academic readiness. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals and couples can explore their experiences, share their dreams, and foster healthier relationships with themselves and others. I have also served as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Xavier University, where I provided emotional support, guidance, and mental health resources to help students thrive academically and personally.

How I Work

My approach is warm, relational, and client-centered. I strive to build genuine, meaningful bonds with the clients I serve, creating a safe and welcoming environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. I draw on my experience as both an educator and counselor to provide comprehensive support, helping individuals prepare for life transitions and navigate personal challenges. I am committed to tailoring my counseling to each individual’s unique needs, using a blend of therapeutic knowledge, practical strategies, and spiritual insight to guide them toward their goals.

My Philosophy

For me, counseling is more than a career—it’s a way to give back, advocate for others, and support people in finding a better path in life. I see my role as walking alongside my clients with compassion and encouragement, helping them grow in self-awareness and resilience as they navigate life’s transitions and challenges. My spiritual compass informs my work, grounding my approach in empathy, respect, and authentic connection.

Community Involvement

I am dedicated to promoting sisterhood, scholarship, service, and finer womanhood at both local and national levels through my sorority involvement.
