Asiyah DeGruy, LCSW

Asiyah DeGruy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She holds a Master of Social Work degree ,with a concentration in Direct Service with Children, Youth and Families, from Southern University at New Orleans.

Asiyah has extensive experience in treating various mental health concerns, ranging from depression and anxiety to Bipolar Disorder and Thought Disorders. She has worked extensively with children, youth and adults. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment, focusing on Person-Centered, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused therapeutic modalities.

Asiyah also has experience working with LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS populations.

She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) and believes in incorporating mind- body practices, such as mindfulness and breath work, along with traditional therapy. She believes in individualized care and working with her clients to identify and meet their treatment needs.
