Dr. Charnetta Robinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds a Master of Education in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans. She also holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is trained in the use of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and is state board approved to practice teletherapy. She is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA) and Louisiana Association of School Executives (LASE).
Charnetta has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has experience working in both individual and group modalities. She has worked with a variety of issues to include but not limited to: anger management, bullying, cyber bullying, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and coping with life changes and transitions. As a former teacher, she particularly enjoys working with clients seeking guidance related to college and career exploration. Charnetta guides clients in exploring patterns of thoughts and actions in efforts to gain understanding and devise solutions while simultaneously creating a warm environment rooted in trust, understanding, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.
